SHALOM HANOCH
Avalon, Hollywood
Presented by: Keshet Chaim and Teev Events
Shalom Hanoch is not just the biggest and most significant artist in Israeli Rock, but one of the most fascinating and prolific forces in Israeli music since the late 60s, a sensitive lyricist and ingenious composer who is adept at moving effortlessly between delicacy and intimacy and stormy, energetic Rock ’n Roll. His language, his performance, and especially his diligent search for new boundaries for the “Israeli Music” classification, are what changed and established this musical genre. A pivotal moment in Hanoch’s career was meeting Arik Einstein in 1967. In the three years that followed, the two were, together and separately, among the originators of Israeli Rock. In the more than 30 years since, Hanoch has continued renovating and creating songs with which he has influenced the Israeli sound more than any other artist.
Shalom Hanoch’s current show won thrilling reviews from critics who called the show "a dynamic performance full of boundless energy and excitement," and had the audience singing and dancing in the aisles. Hanoch’s show will be filled with rhythm and nostalgia. Audiences can expect hits from recent albums as well as old classics including Shablool, Maya, Man Lives Within Himself, White Wedding, On the Face of the Earth, Waiting for the Messiah, In this Life Time, Evening, Evening and more.
