Lydia McDonald hails from Dallas, TX, and has trained extensively in styles such as contemporary, modern, ballet, acro, floorwork, improvisation, musical theater, and jazz. Lydia received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with an emphasis in performance and choreography from the University of North Texas, and spent two seasons dancing as a company member of imPULSE Dance Project during her college years. Immediately after graduating, Lydia became a company member of Ad Deum Dance Company’s 2nd company for 2 seasons. Now based in Los Angeles, Lydia is dancing in her 3rd season as a company member and social media director for Psychopomp Dance Theater. Additionally, she has performed and trained with notable companies and choreographers such as Madison Olandt, Erica Klein, Geometry, Doug Varone and Dancers, Zion Dance Project, Noble Motion, Arcos Dance, and more. Lydia also works in the commercial and freelance dance industry, and is passionate about choreographing work for stage and film.
