Assistant Artistic Director & Choreographer:
Kobi Rozenfeld’s professional reputation and heightened demand in the dance industry has led him to work with some of the best entertainers and most notable celebrities in Hollywood. His most recent choreography credits include his work with the British singer and songwriter, Natasha Bedingfield, at the “LifeBall” concert in Vienna, with Macy Gray and her latest hit “Beauty in the World”, and with none other than the incredible pop sensation, Beyonce, in her 2009-2010 “I Am... World Tour”. Kobi also choreographed for Israel’s “So You Think You Can Dance” and for the musical show in California’s Legoland Amusement Park. In January of 2010, he performed alongside Beyonce as one of the dancers at the Grammy Awards.
Kobi was born in Israel and has been dancing and choreographing from a very early age. His early credits include performances in the successful productions of Fun Tazi, Caberet, Peter Pan. Kobi worked with and choreographed for some of the Israeli top pop artists in their music videos such as Shiri Maimon, Mali Levi, Maya Bouskila and Roni Duani and Michal Amdursky as well as national and international tours. He choreographed for “The Little Mermaid; and won numerous choreography contests at the International Carmiel Dance Festival and the Israeli Jazz Contest in Haifa. In summer 2006, Kobi began working with Keshet Chaim Dance Ensemble upon his arrival in the United States. He choreographed new pieces for the company and gained great critical acclaim through the group’s performances at the Disney Concert Hall, Paramount Studios, The Kodak theatre, the Ford Theatre and for a Chanukah special on PBS. Through Keshet, Kobi has had the opportunity to choreograph pieces in collaboration with Israel’s Rami Kleinstein, Miri Mesika and Harel Skaat.
L.A.’s top working dancers presented Kobi’s choreographic work at the prestigious “Carnival – Choreographer’s Ball” at the Key Club in Hollywood. Kobi was signed with DDO talent agency as a choreographer and dancer. Kobi travels the world as a free-lance choreographer. He has taught master classes at the Broadway Dance Center in New York and has instructed at workshops in Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, France, Slovakia, Spain, Toronto and Guam. Kobi is passionate about sharing his love for dance with all those he comes into contact with. He touches his audiences and inspires his students, leaving them thirsty for more!
Gitit Kohavie, born in Israel, is a performer and a master teacher. In Israel, she is best known as a dancer and choreographer on “So You Think You Can Dance, Israel”. She represented Israel as the winner in the Nike Championship for women as a dancer. She participated in projects with the Bat Sheva and the Vertigo dance companies. Other credits include numerous television shows, stage performances and concerts. Gitit came to LA in 2008 and started performing with the Keshet Chaim Dance Ensemble, the Blue 13 Bollywood Compnay and several commercial ventures. She started teaching through Keshet and brings with her a tremendous energy, enthusiasm and love for children.
Kavita Rao holds a BA in dance and communications from Chapman University. Since moving to LA and signing with DDO Talent Agency for dance and Across the Board Talent for acting, Kavita has been featured in numerous lives shows, music videos, films, commercials and television shows. One of Los Angeles’s top Bollywood teachers and choreographers, Kavita runs two dance/entertainment companies: Flirt and Karmagraphy. She currently teaches throughout the world and has recently won best choreography awards and garnered rave reviews for her work. www.karmagraphy.com
Tzion Marciano was born in Morocco. He performed in Israel with the Inbal Dance Theatre, Bat Dor, Kol Od Mamma, Yonatan Carmon and Shalom 81. Marciano participated in the Habima National Theatre for several productions. Tsion is also a very talented choreographer. He choreographed for the Suzanne Dellal Center, Inbal Dance Theater and Carmiel Dance Festival. He is currently working with Keshet Chaim as a choreographer and performer.
Ilana Cohen was born in Rehovot. In 1989, she represented Israel in the International Dance Festival in North Carolina. She was part of the dance corps and performed as a solo dancer in Inbal Dance Theater for more than twenty years. She served as Artistic Director and choreographer of the Inbal Dance Theater for many years. Currently she teaches workshops and performs throughout Israel. Her previous work in Inbal includes "Kinah," "Em," "Hatzi Glimat Hamalhut," "Talouvot," "Ra'alah" and "Sajarra," which was a collaboration with the prominent musician Shlomo Bar. www.ilanacohen.co.il
Navon Amos lives in Israel and is the Artistic Director of an exciting entertainment group called “Demente”. This successful group combines drumming and dance, transforming raw talent into shows which remind us of “STOMP” and “Blue Man Group”. They opened the final show of Israel’s version of Britain’s Got Talent. They have had many guest appearances on prime time television shows and have won competitions in their field. Navon is also a master teacher and creator of unique children’s rhythm and drum shows. Additionally, Navon was a joint partner in the creation of the group “Tararam” in Israel.
Cindy Ricalde was trained at the National Academy of the Arts and the Joffery Ballet. She started her professional career at age 17 as a ballet dancer with William Carter of American Ballet Theater. After an International tour, Cindy spent four years in Mexico City dancing with Compañia National de Teatro; while there, she toured Nationally with Musical Theater, expanding her versatility as a dancer. She also performed with the Ohio Ballet and has appeared as guest artist for many different companies. Cindy studied and danced for US International University as well as teaching on the faculty in San Diego while under the direction of the Steven and Elizabeth Wistritch of the San Diego City Ballet.
Upon Retuning to Los Angeles, she has worked on projects that have included music videos, Center Stage with Mandy Moore, MTV Awards with Toni Basil, stage productions with Paula Abdul and worked with Dick Van Dyke. She toured Russia with Keshet Chiam at the International Jewish Festival in Moscow. Ms. Ricalde played the role of Velma Kelly in the Broadway Musical “Chicago” in Mexico City, and has also assisted Broadway choreographer- Sergio Trujillo with Ballet Hispanico in NYC. She was a guest teacher for the dancers in Celine Dion’s Company of a “New Day” in Las Vegas.
Cindy has also been teaching Pilates in LA for the past 14 years and has coached Pilates and private Ballet for Julia Styles for the film “Save the Last Dance”. Currently she is Teaching Ballet for West Coast Dance Explosion on the National Tour 2012.
