Neshama - Stories of the Soul - 2004

This performance took place at the ICC Scottish Rite Auditorium on February 21, 2004. The amazing singer David D'Or and his band came form Israel to participate in the production.
"NESHAMA, Stories of the Soul," is a performance inspired by personal spiritual experiences enriched by thousands of years of Jewish legends, commentaries, and religious texts, all centered on the significance of human life. Neshama seeks to embrace biblical images and portray them as dramas of the soul. This visual language corresponds to the inner space and journey that each one of us makes towards self-knowledge.

Imbued with movement, song, visuals, and narration, this multimedia performance sweeps through the millennia. It begins even before the creation of the universe and ends in the present. Its heart is the Stone of Foundation, which according to legend, is the very center of Jerusalem, in itself the very center of human consciousness and of the world; it is the place on which the first human was created; where the first monotheist, Abraham, was called to bind his son, and where in ancient days the solitary self of the High Priest was summoned to come face-to-face with the Divine on behalf of the people.
