Colors of Israel - 2006

Keshet Chaim Dance Ensemble and Israeli singing sensation Noa Dori returned to Thousand Oaks for two performances, February 25 and 26, 2006 with COLORS OF ISRAEL. The many distinctive cultures that make up Israel and the Diaspora are woven into a vivid tapestry of movement and sound in Colors of Israel, a richly-textured evening of dance and music at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Colors of Israel captured the breathtaking costumes, vibrant music and exhilarating dance of Spain, Yemen, Eastern Europe, ancient Israel, and even the Jews of the American West.  Using contemporary dance vocabulary inspired by folk traditions, Keshet Chaim paid homage to the diversity of the Jewish experience.
